The Science, Mathematics and Technology Program is designed for the inquisitive child who is looking for an adventure in exploring, discovering and learning. From the first day in kindergarten, children are encouraged to solve problems for themselves, through logical thinking, sorting, recognizing patterns, and recording the results of their work. Children discover mathematical and physical ideas on their own, using models they can touch and manipulate. Students have daily access to computer terminals and modern mathematics and science laboratories. Working individually and in small groups, they verify the principles studied in the classroom.

Environmental Science & Everglades Restoration
Managing the environment might be the most important thing humanity must do over the next century and beyond. Using Science, Technology and Research, students in the Everglades Restoration program are working with community agencies and policy makers to combat climate change and help save the planet. The curriculum emphasizes the natural and social science aspects of the Everglades, environmental management, global issues, and service learning. Seniors share their college level research paper and project at a public forum, earning them scholarships. Educational trips expose students to our Beaches, Wetlands, State and National Parks, Organic farms, and the only Everglades in the world. This immersion gives students a distinct advantage in all science courses by offering hands-on experiences of complex subjects that are difficult to convey in the classroom. The goal of the program is to inspire high school students to be good stewards of the Earth and make a positive impact on the environment while earning high school and college credits.
