Economic Development & Diversity Compliance Department

-
The SBBC’s Economic Development & Diversity Compliance Department works to help small, minority and women-owned businesses, to participate in District procurement and contract activities. The goal of the department is to spur economic development and support small, and minority and women-owned businesses to successfully expand in the marketplace.
The Supplier Diversity & Outreach Program (SDOP) policy includes narrowly-tailored Affirmative Procurement Initiatives designed to increase availability, capacity, and contract participation by Small/Minority/Women Business Enterprises (S/M/WBEs). We promote the involvement and economic growth of S/M/WBEs through certification, community outreach, goal setting, bid evaluation, contract compliance, and other program areas.
The School Board of Broward County, Florida (SBBC) adopted the Supplier Diversity & Outreach Program (SDOP) Policy 3330 on January 18, 2017. The policy became effective on July 1, 2017. The new department includes Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Certification and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Certification. This department provides certification to eligible businesses in the tri-county market including Broward County, Miami-Dade County, and Palm Beach County.
Broward County Public Schools and the new Economic Development & Diversity Compliance Department is open for business. Get certified to increase your access to procurement opportunities in construction, professional services, other contractual services, and commodities.
