Congratulations to Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) 2024 Silver Knight winners and honorable mentions!
The prestigious 66th annual Miami Herald Silver Knight Awards were held on May 23, 2024, at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami. The ceremony recognized 788 outstanding high school seniors nominated from Broward and Miami-Dade public, charter, and private schools.
The Silver Knight program honors exceptional graduating seniors for their academic excellence, leadership, talent, and dedication to community service. Winners receive a $2,000 scholarship, a Silver Knight statue, and a medallion. Honorable mentions receive a $500 scholarship and a plaque.
BCPS is incredibly proud of all the students who were nominated for this distinguished award. Their hard work and commitment to their communities are truly inspiring.

Seven Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) seniors were awarded the prestigious National Merit $2,500 Scholarships, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced. Additionally, Cypress Bay High School senior Marcela Lopez was honored with a corporate-sponsored National Merit PepsiCo Foundation Scholarship.
