Community Readers
-
FACE is partnering with local businesses throughout Broward County with the Community Readers initiative. Community Readers encourages literacy and supports positive interactions between children and adults by providing child-friendly reading spaces at barbershops, hair salons, and other local businesses.
Each location receives a bookshelf with approximately 20 books that celebrate diversity, encourage self-esteem, and incorporate social and emotional learning themes. Our purpose is for families to be full partners with school staff and members of the community in the work of supporting and sustaining excellence in Broward County Public Schools.
If you are interested in becoming a Community Reader, please contact our office.
