2021/22 Back-to-School Toolkit

  • Ready For You

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) welcomes students back to class on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

To help families prepare for the 2021/22 school year, check out the BCPS Back to School toolkit, which includes links to important information and District resources to support our families.

  • COVID-19 efforts to minimize spread

    • If your child is sick, keep him/her at home.
    • Parents should perform a health examination of their child each morning before school. View the Health Screening Checklist at https://bit.ly/BCPShealthcheck.
    • Face coverings are mandatory for all students, teachers, staff and visitors inside school buildings, facilities, and school buses. Face coverings must be worn during class changes. The face covering must cover the nose and mouth and fit snugly on the face, with no gaps.
    • Exceptions to the mask requirement are available to students with an approved IEP, 504 Plan, or Health Plan with signed documentation from a licensed medical professional. More information is available at browardschools.com/maskexception.
    • A minimum of three feet of physical distancing from others will be maintained, when possible.
    • Face coverings are not required outdoors if a minimum of three feet of physical distance is maintained. Face coverings are not required in certain situations including at mealtime, while engaging in strenuous physical activity, participating in athletics, and during music and theater performances.
    • There are no opt-out provisions to the face covering requirement.
Families may qualify to attend an eligible school under provisions of the HOPE Scholarship program if they believe their child is being harassed. Please contact your school for more information.
