Born in Boston, MA, Daniel Foganholi is a first generation American. His parents migrated from Brazil to America for access to greater opportunities for their family. Daniel and his wife, Alyssa, reside in Coral Springs with their two children.
Daniel is a product of the Broward County school system, from being homeschooled, going to public school, and attending a charter school. He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and obtained certificates in the field of Marketing and Sales. In May 2022, Daniel was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to represent District 5 on the Broward County School Board. In December 2022, Governor DeSantis reappointed Daniel to the School Board, representing District 1.
Daniel is an active member and volunteers at his church in Coconut Creek as a greeter on the welcome team and coaches’ kids’ soccer. He is currently the Director of Legislative Affairs for the New Generations Children’s Ministry based in Columbus, Ohio and Mina Gerais, Brazil. He is also involved with BRAUSA (American Brazilian coalition) which focuses on giving a voice to the Brazilian American community in South Florida as well as across the United States.
