Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning (LGBTQ)

The Diversity, Prevention & Intervention (DPI) department’s goal is to lead the change for all Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students in achieving lifelong academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success. LGBTQ health and well-being policies, programming, and practices in BCPS will enhance ongoing efforts to make each of our schools a safer place for all students with a particular emphasis on the often-targeted community of LGBTQ students and staff. LGBTQ efforts are intended to improve the manner in which administrators implement existing federal, state, and local laws and policies concerning harassment and discrimination.
