Why Equity, Diversity & School Climate?
We all, students and staff, deserve school environments that are safe, inclusive, supportive, and conducive to teaching and learning. But how can we create this? Through the use of continuous improvement to deliberately assess and improve each school’s climate and diversity efforts. Climate, equity and diversity are not interchangeable, but are interwoven and interactive.
In positive school climates, students feel safe to learn. Staff pay close attention to the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of all students. Schools set and enforce behavioral expectations through effective, consistent, equitable, and graduated discipline. This ensures all students learn the skills they need to succeed both academically and later in life.
Partner with E,D&SC to ensure all your students reach their highest potential.
