    These Internet safety curricula will help you provide the highest quality education in a safe, respectful, and violence-free environment. We recommend you choose an evidence-based curriculum or proven program, but have provided other options as well.     ADL's anti-bias education helps to create and sustain an inclusive and violence-free school. ADL has lessons on all violence prevention-related topics, many with videos.

    Things that start out as a funny wall post, a sarcastic photo comment, or a flirty text can turn hurtful, obnoxious, or even abusive. This site provides videos, facts, quizzes, and advice about boundary-defying activities like sexting, constant messaging, spying, and digital disrespect – so your students will know where the line is, and be ready to draw their own.

    The program is provided at no cost to FL public elementary school teachers, learn more. Lessons educate and empower students with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of child abuse, digital abuse, and other digital dangers.

    The online curriculum is made up of 65 grade-differentiated lesson plans. The Scope & Sequence consists of 3 units for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8, and 4 units for grades 9-12. Each unit has 5 lessons, family activities, and professional development resources. Topics include cyberbullying, privacy, safety, and more. The digital education platform has free lessons, videos, surveys, assessments, and interactive exercises that teach financial capability, character, substance abuse prevention, STEM, health & wellness, social-emotional learning, relationship skills, cultural & civic literacy, and career preparedness.

    Teachers register, then their students can take the online safety interactive courses designed as online games with tests. It has both English and Spanish games.

    The State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.094121, F.A.C., requires a minimum of five hours of instruction related to mental and emotional health education for every student in grades K-12 annually. The content areas to be taught are mental and emotional health, substance use and abuse prevention, internet safety and/or human trafficking, and character education.

    Reality Avenue, "Cyberlife: What’s Really Happening Online?"

    Grades 6-12

    This 30-minute video lesson empowers students to take control of their Internet experience and remain safe while online. Download the video and utilize the Lesson Plan with discussion prompters. You can also download and view the video's script. Reality Avenue has two show formats, 1) twelve, 30-minute shows on prevention topics such as Body Image, Addiction, the Internet, Teen Stress, Self Injury, Diversity, Self Esteem, Depression/Anger, Bullying, Divorce, Character, and Relationships 2) eight, 10-15 minute shows on the District’s eight character traits.

    This series of 8 engaging character prevention education television programs are 10-15 minutes long and relate to each of the District’s character traits: cooperation (September), responsibility (October), citizenship (November), kindness (December), respect (January), honesty (February), self-control (March), and tolerance (April). The shows have class lessons and discussion prompters as well.
