The Miramar Cultural Center I ArtsPark Education program is committed to enriching, entertaining and educating our community through the magic of professional theatre. In collaboration with the Broward County School District, teaching artists and arts organizations, we provide curriculum-based arts education for students and families both in school and in the community-at-large. Student matinee performances are supported with a study guide for use both before and after the performance. Performances are aligned with Florida standards and support various curriculum requirements for each grade level.
The Miramar Cultural Center|ArtsPark was created to celebrate creativity and diversity within the city of Miramar located in south-west Broward county. This landmark is a vibrant destination located in the heart of the Miramar Town Center, situated adjacent to City Hall. The facility includes:
An 800-seat theater
Ansin Family Art Gallery
Full-service kitchen
Banquet facilities
Dance studio and classroom
Expression garden with murals and ArtScape with sculptures
Expectations for Students
MCC offers the opportunity to schedule field trip visits for School Matinees performances or a tour of the facility. This includes Art Tours of the gallery, murals and ArtScape, and Behind-The-Scenes Tours that may include a tour of the theater.
Prices
School Matinees are $8 per student, teachers/chaperones free
The costs of a tour facility (Art Tours, Behind-The-Scenes Tours) free of charge, but must be arranged in advance.
