    • Curriculum, assignments, assessments and due dates are preset and not modifiable.  Therefore, managing time and meeting deadlines is extremely important.
    • The course catalogue for BVS is set by the State of Florida and in more limited than the course catalog at most Broward high schools. Families should check the catalog of available courses to ensure that BVS offers options if a student has interests in subjects outside of the traditional core, desires to enroll in advanced academic options, is interested in Career Education, or has other interests.
    • Participation in extracurricular, athletic, and other extended learning opportunities require that the student/family contact their neighborhood school and make arrangements through the principal and coach or club sponsor.  Students are eligible to participate, however documentation must occur through the local campus and all transportation and other arrangements are on the student's family.
