• Hybrid Learning: A mix of in-school and eLearning

This is combination of students learning physically in schools, and students using distance learning tools for teacher directed eLeanring at home.  This mix of learning settings is what BCPS refers to has a hybrid learning model. This model will allow for students to teachers to be physically together for learning while maintaining social distancing, symptom monitoring, and other public health professional recommendations.

The details of the days of physical attendance, the subjects addressed on days on site and days at home, the operations of schools during the school day, transportation, school cleaning, and many other matters are being actively addressed at this time.  Information will be provided as it becomes available.

This model will provide students with the opportunity to be physically present with their teacher and peers.  But being physically present in schools will be different due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Group sizes will be reduced

Note: Some students may be receiving in-person, school based instruction for a greater percentage of each week than will be the standard offering.  It is anticipated that students in this category might include specific categories of students with disabilities, English Language Learners, and students needing additional academic or social-emotional support.
