This goal is achieved by providing essential services, supports and resources from the 6 strands of prevention below.   • Globe Diversity
    Defined for BCPS, as a broad concept that includes gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic back ground, linguistic differences, exceptional abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expressions, variations of talents and abilities, and special needs.

  • Apple Health & Wellness
    Health & Wellness is 1 of the 5 essential strands of prevention. Health and wellness can be divided into three interacting areas for practical integration into school curriculum and culture.

  • Pencil Instructional Strategies
    Instructional Strategies is 1 of the 6 essential strands of prevention. It is how we set the tone of safety and excellence to help our students succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

  • Brain Substance Abuse
    Substance Abuse Prevention is 1 of the 5 essential strands of prevention. Providing education and awareness of substance use and abuse is imperative to promoting the academic success, and health and well-being of our students.

  • Peace Violence Prevention
