  • Vision Care Plans

    SBBC now offers the option of four vision plans available from two vision carriers. The two carriers providing service to the District's employees are Humana/CompBenefits and Aetna Vision. Both carriers offer a Basic and Enhanced Vision Plan. In and out-of-network benefits are available from both carriers.

    In-Network Benefits

    Regardless of the carrier you select, both offer:

    • a $4 co-payment for vision exam(one exam per 12 months)
    • a $10 co-payment for lenses
    • contact lenses prescribed for medical reasons covered in full

    Out-of-Network Benefits

    Regardless of the carrier you select, both offer:

    • up to $30 for vision exam (one exam per 12 months)
    • a large selection of frames up to $45 (one pair per 12 months)
    • Allowance for elective contact lenses and exam

  • Eligibility Limitations

    Coverage is available for your eligible dependents up to the following age limitations:

    *In order to add or continue coverage for your adult child, you must re-enroll your adult child in the plan by completing the Dependent Coverage Enrollment/Affidavit Form. The Adult Dependent Coverage premium is in addition to the premium you are currently paying.
