SEAS PLUS WORKSHOPS
When you attend a SEAS performance, you can extend your students' learning by adding a free SEAS Plus workshop to the experience! These pre- and post-show workshops provide creative connections between the show's themes and content and your curriculum and standards. Each 30-minute workshop incorporates a variety of art forms, such as storytelling, music, dance, circus arts and drama, and gives your students an opportunity to participate in a rich, exploratory experience that is imaginative, collaborative, and fun.
SEAS Plus Workshops are available for select titles and are delivered in the following formats:
PRE-SHOW: Video on Demand
Get your students ready to see the show with a pre-recorded SEAS Plus video, taught by a Broward Center Teaching Artist! These pre-show workshops, usually between 15 and 30 minutes in length, use arts integration strategies to introduce students to the characters and themes of the show and make initial connections between the show's content and the curriculum.
Upon registering for a qualifying SEAS performance, you will receive a link to the workshop video, which you can watch with your students any time before attending the performance.
POST-SHOW WORKSHOPS: Live and Interactive!
These live, interactive workshops, held in a studio in the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center at the Broward Center, are available after the 10 a.m. performance of select titles. These standards-based workshops, taught by Broward Center Teaching Artists, build on the themes and content of the show and use arts integration strategies to make deeper connections with the related curriculum. Time and space for lunch are available (if needed).

WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING:
What a great enrichment opportunity. They had a lot of fun singing, dancing, and acting instead of just sitting and watching a show.
There have been many instances since, where I have had students use what we learned that day in making connections in class in discussions.
Our teachers really loved everything about the workshop and performance. We can't wait to go back again next year.
The workshop was great. It allowed students to manipulate the information before watching the performance, giving them more time to make sense of it all.
