Overview
-
The Student Services Department provides a wide array of support services for students, staff, and families of Broward County Public Schools. The Department consists of School Social Work, Attendance, Family Counseling, Foster Care, Child Abuse and Neglect, and Homeless Education.
A mentally and emotionally healthy child is better equipped to learn. For the children of Broward schools to reach their maximum academic potential, the Student Services Department provides support interventions to teachers and school administrators by offering ancillary services to special populations and students in need. Our programs provide students with the external tools necessary for a successful school experience.
The Student Services Department strives to be V3 – remaining viable, visible, and valuable to the educational arena as we continue to fulfill our mission of promoting academic achievement by removing social and emotional barriers to success for all students in Broward County Public Schools.
From our front office staff, clerical support, front line staff, supervisors, and director, excellent customer service is our goal.
