Family Therapist: Master's Degree in Counseling
Description: Implement programs to help students, families and school staffs develop better life-coping skills in order for the student to become a more productive learner. Responsibilities include: implementing a family counseling program designed around needs of students, school and the community. Providing inservice to the staff in the implementation of the program. Developing materials and implementing strategies for a family counseling program.
Additional Qualifications: eligibility for Florida Educator’s certificate in Social work or Florida Department of Health License
Starting Salary: $47,500 + $3,750 (masters) + $1,100 (supplement) = $52,350

School Administrator: Master's Degree in Educational Leadership
School Administrators provide instructional, organizational, and professional leadership to promote the educational development of each student and to ensure the safety and effective operation of the assigned school.

Assistant Principals
Exhibit the knowledge and practice of current educational trends, research and technology. As school leaders, they understand the unique needs, population trends and characteristics of the students and act to serve students and parents, staff, and the community.
Additional Qualifications:
- Applicants shall hold or be eligible for certification in educational leadership, administration or administration and supervision
- Four (4) years of public school instructional experience
- Completion of Leadership Experiences and Administrative Development Program (LEAD) or comparable program is a mandatory
Principals
Provide the leadership and management necessary to administer and supervise all programs, policies and activities of the school to ensure high quality educational experiences and services for students in a safe and enriching environment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of public school experience is required
- must include a minimum of three (3) years of required experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal
- must include a minimum of three (3) years of required experience as a Principal or Assistant Principal
- Must be a participant in or have completed Broward’s Principal Preparation Program or a similar leadership
training program in another district/state.

School Counselors: Master's Degree in Counseling
School counselors work at school sites and provide services to students in the areas of academic strategies, interpersonal skills, career options, and managing emotions. Responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling, goal setting, working with families/teachers/school administrators to ensure student success, advocating for students, referring students/families to appropriate community agencies, and providing resources to students/parents.
Additional Qualifications: eligibility for Florida Educator’s certificate in School Counselor
Starting Salary: $47,500 + $3,750 (masters) = $51,250

Social Worker: Master's Degree in Counseling
Social workers work cooperatively with principals and other school personnel to effect successful school achievement and school attendance. They are expected to:
- engage in appropriate assessment activities that result in the identification of the special needs of individual students via various methods, including interviews, observations and/or home assessments.
- plan and conduct appropriate mental health interventions to include short-term solutions, focused individual, group, and family counseling services for students.
- perform crisis intervention services as part of the Crisis Support Team and/or conduct short-term crisis counseling, staff support and parent education activities.
Additional Qualifications: Prefer 2 years of experience; eligibility for Florida Educator’s certificate in Social work or Florida Department of Health License
Starting Salary: $47,500 + $3,750 (masters) + $2,835 (supplement) = $54,085
