Interim Substitute Teacher
Interim Substitute Teachers maintain our students' academic progress by facilitating lesson plans during a teacher's short-term leave of absence. The interim substitute teacher assumes all of the responsibilities of the classroom teacher for the duration of the assignment. Interim Substitute Teachers must maintain a consistent volume of high quality instruction with accuracy and professionalism.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be approved as a substitute teacher for Broward County Public Schools
- Completion of the BCPS Substitute Teacher Training On-Boarding Course, once processed.

Substitute Teacher (General)
Substitute Teachers support a school's temporary needs by creating and maintaining a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, providing positive educational experiences for all students, and/or acting in a related resource role to support the school environment.

- Must be approved as a substitute teacher for Broward County Public Schools

Teacher Assistant
Teacher Assistant
Teacher assistants work under the direct supervision of a teacher in the creation of instructional materials, help the teacher plan instructional activities, and supervise small group discussions and activities among students. These positions work with students with disabilities and/or bilingual students.
Additional Qualifications:
- A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience, within the last five (5) years, in working with children, preferred.
- Successful completion of the Teacher Assisting Curriculum Testing
- Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment (offered at McFatter Technical Center)
