    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

  • After Care Overview

    It is a Youth Development Program. The program provides struggling high school students with opportunities for academic remediation and enrichment career exploration, community civic engagement, hands-on experiential learning activities and other skills-building activities designed to promote youth development, as well as school and future success.

    Activities and Services Offered:

    Our unity 4 Teens program provides:

    • Supper/ snacks
    • Academic assessments
    • Individualize academic guidance
    • Support students to meet graduation requirements
    • Credit recovery
    • Homework assistance
    • Tutoring
    • Science projects assistance
    • Math
    • Career exploration activities
    • Music
    • Dance
    • Art
    • Poetry
    • Culinary
    • Gardening
    • Health and wellness activities
    • Relaxation techniques and mindfulness sessions
    • College tours
    • Field trips
