  • The Equity Leadership Club is a project-based club where students create engaging activities for the school to participate in. Equity is when each person or group is represented with fairness. The goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all students at Sheridan Technical High School. Join Equity Leadership Club and let’s shape a safe school environment together.

Equity Leadership will be participating in a Teen Summit on March 18, 2024.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month in room 121 with Ms. McAfee. See you there!

Events The Equity Leadership Engaged In

  • Equity Awareness Poster Contest

    Choose Peace

The Equity Leadership Group had an Equity Awareness Poster Contest to showcase student work! Students had to create a poster that answers the prompt: “To me, equity means _____.” This could have been a personal definition of what equity means to the student. This could be a group or solo project. Posters were due January 20, 2022. The winning posters were displayed on the monitors in school.

  • Friendsgiving Fund Raiser 2023

The Human Relations Council is kicking off their Friendsgiving fundraiser. Here's the idea: $1 for one photo. Submit a picture of you and your friends (No inappropriate pictures, please!). The best thing is your photo will be displayed on every display board throughout the school around Thanksgiving!

  • Harvest Drive 2023

Mental Health Awareness Club and Equity Leadership Group has partnered with Harvest Drive to meet the needs of our students and families for the holiday season. STHS and the Sheridan Technical College campus are collecting canned foods and nonperishable food items for the upcoming Harvest Drive Thanksgiving event. Starting on Monday, October 6, 2023, donation boxes are available in the cafeteria and Administrative Office on the STC campus.

Starting on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, STHS's donation boxes are available in the cafeteria, media center, and in the main hallway by the Administrative Office.

Please review the Harvest Drive Food List for the food items needed for the event. The end date for the collection is November 2, 2023, the end of the day.

Please contact Mrs. Campbell your site-based school social worker if you have any questions or concerns.
