Adding Shared Apps to Your Page

This method of adding apps to your page uses the concept of COPE allowing you to use information already created by the owner of the content.
- Select Use Existing
- Select an app type
- Search app by name
- Drag app to workspace (inside the highlighted outline)

Parent Trainings

Add the Parent Trainings app
- Sign In to Schoolwires (if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Choose Parents
- Click Actions-->Page Options next to the Parent Information page
- Update the page name to Parent Information and Trainings
- Click Save at the bottom
- Click Actions-->Edit Page next to the Parent Information and Trainings page
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content Accordion
- Enter Annual Parent
- Drag the app to the bottom of the page
- Click the purple X to exit
- Exit the page
- Verify that the content accordion is at the bottom of the page
District Calendar

Add the Broward Schools District Calendar
- Sign In to Schoolwires (if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Click Actions next to Calendar
- Select Edit Page
- On the right side under Create New, drag a new Content app above the Calendar
- Click the green pencil to edit content app
- On the menu bar, choose the less than and greater than signs <>
- If you don't see the <>, click the 3 dots on the far right side of the menu
- Copy the code below in the next step into the blank space provided.

- Click save again
- Go to the school's homepage
- Click the school's calendar
- Verify the District calendar icon is visible above the school calendar on the right side
Transportation

Add the Transportation app
- Sign In to Schoolwires(if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Choose the Parents section
- Click Edit Page next to the Transportation page
- Under the Student Bus Stop Information app, there is an app called Content
- Click the green pencil on the Content app to edit the app
- Click the enter key after the Learn more about Student Transportation & Fleet Services sentence
- Add a sentence - Contact the [Enter the terminal office name] for [Enter school name] at [Enter terminal number]. Contact [Enter your school bus coordinator’s name here], our School Bus Coordinator, via phone [Enter your school’s phone number] or fax [Enter school’s fax number if applicable] from [Enter available times].
- Click Save
- Click the purple X
- Choose to Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content Accordion
- Enter Student Transportation Bus Terminal Contact Information
- Drag the app to the bottom of the page
- Click the purple X to exit
- Verify the page is visible under Students & Parents/Parents/Transportation
Internet Safety

Schools WITHOUT Internet Safety Resources under Students & Parents
- Sign In to Schoolwires(if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Click New Section
- Enter Internet Safety Resouces as the section name
- Under section configuration choose the Blank Section option
- Click Save
- Click New Page
- Enter Internet Safety as the page name
- Choose Blank page below
- Click Save and Continue at the bottom
- Click Edit Page next to the Internet Safety page
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content
- Enter Internet Safety Resources and Guidelines
- Drag the app to the top of the page
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content Accordion
- Enter Internet Safety Resources
- Drag the app under the previous app and drop it in the green square
- Delete any other content apps on the page
- Click the purple X to exit
- Verify the page is visible under Students & Parents/Internet Safety

Schools WITH Internet Safety under Schools & Parents
- Sign In to Schoolwires(if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Click Options next to the Internet Safety section
- Enter Internet Safety Resources as the section name and menu name
- Click Save
- Choose the Internet Safety section
- Click Edit Page next to the Internet Safety page
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content
- Enter Internet Safety Resources and Guidelines
- Drag the app to the top
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content Accordion
- Enter Internet Safety Resources
- Drag the app under the previous app and drop it in the green square
- Delete any other content apps on the page
- Click the purple X to exit
- Verify the page is visible under Students & Parents/Internet Safety
SESIR

Add the SESIR app
- Sign In to Schoolwires (if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Choose Parents
- Click New Page
- Enter School Environmental Safety Incident Reporting (SESIR) as the page name
- Choose Blank page below
- Click Save and Continue at the bottom
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Content
- Enter SESIR
- Drag the app to the top of the page and drop it in the green square
- Click the purple X to exit
- Click Organize Pages
- Move the page toward the top of the list to become the third page
- Click save
- Exit the page
- Verify the page is visible under Students & Parents/Parents
BCPS Twitter

Add the Broward Schools Twitter Feed
- Sign In to Schoolwires (if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Homepage under the Summary tab
- Choose Actions --> Edit Page
- Choose Use Existing under Apps
- Choose Embed Code
- Enter Follow BCPS
- Drag the app to the far right column at the bottom
- Click the purple X to exit
- Verify the BCPS Twitter feed is visible on the school's homepage

Add the Student Grades and Progress Link
- Sign In to Schoolwires (if you aren't already)
- Access the Site Manager from User Options
- Choose User Option, Site Manager
- Choose Students & Parents under Site & Channels
- Click New Section
- Enter Student Grades and Progress as the section name
- Select Blank for section configuration
- Click the Advanced tab
- Map section web address to /gradesreportcards
- Web Address Target should open in new window
- Click Save at the bottom
- Verify the section is visible under Students & Parents
