    Participation: New and returning members must plan and participate in social, professional, fundraising and service activities. Participate in local elementary school tutoring sessions during the class period.

     

    DUES: You have the choice to pay $5 dues online (go to CSHS website – Online Payments) or fundraise (i.e. sell candy) during the year. These funds are used towards lowering costs of tutoring t-shirts, for club activities/supplies, Senior sendoff activity costs, fiestas and donations to worthy causes.

     

    EVENTS/ACTIVITIES

    Typical activities include: Hispanic Heritage Month photo booth, Hispanic Heritage Month music lunches, Elementary school tutoring, LIA Conference, College visits, Foster Home Halloween activity, Valentine’s Day activities, Dia de los Muertos activities, Service activities, Social activities, Fundraising activities and Professional activities.

     

    RECOGNITION AT GRADUATION

    Senior Medals: Students that have been in Latinos In Action and paid their dues/raised funds and have met class requirements will receive a metal at graduation in recognition of their hard work.

     

    CRITERIA FOR JOINING

    The student must…

    1. be dependable, responsible & trustworthy
    2. fill out an application
    3. have a weighted cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
