Welcome to the Sheridan Hills Elementary
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Page!
Become a Volunteer…Why YOU should get involved! We need your help, and so do your children. Over 500 independent studies on parent involvement show that when parents get involved in their children’s education, grades go up, test scores improve, and much more. Get involved TODAY! Please look at our PTO Calendar for ways to get involved. Volunteering doesn’t have to mean a huge time commitment. We understand it is increasingly more difficult to find time to give; however, we are grateful for any time that you can give for our school and children. Please fill out the District Volunteer Application and get involved today!
- What is the PTO and Who Can be a Member? The purpose of the PTO is for charitable purposes, more specifically to promote cooperation between parents, teachers and the community for the welfare and education of children in Sheridan Hills Elementary.
- General Membership is open to any parent, guardian, and staff member of a pre-kindergarten through fifth grade student at Sheridan Hills Elementary. We hope that our partnership will pool a wealth of knowledge, talents, and skills to benefit our school and students. Your involvement really does make a difference in “your” child’s education.
- PTO Programs & Fundraising: Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our schools with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child. Our school community works together on enriching fundraisers to provide our children with class trips, books, classroom supplies, and much more! During the past years, the PTO has provided learning opportunities that would have otherwise been unavailable to our children. We ask for your support so that we can continue making resources and learning opportunities available to our children.
We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers, administrators, and support staff can do their best work – and so can our children. The PTO welcomes you to join our meetings to contribute your ideas and talents to better our Sheridan Hills Elementary School. All meeting dates and activities will be posted regularly on our PTO calendar and our school newsletter. We would like to thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are interested in advertising your business on a banner please contact Stacey Christianson for more information.

This money goes toward the many things that PTO supports throughout the year.Box Tops: Please collect Box Tops and send them in with your child’s name on each. Students will be competing with their class for the coveted Box Tops Trophy! For each box top, 10 cents is given to Sheridan Hills for our students! Keep them coming!!

Family Fun Nights: The PTO will be hosting several Family Fun Nights this year. In the past, these have been a huge hit with not only the students but also the parents. Pre-sale tickets go on sale before the event. Because of the strict fire law restrictions, only a limited number of tickets can be sold. So watch your child’s folder with more information coming home regarding the next Family Fun Night and be sure you purchase your tickets early!
Shop Online: Shop online through www.schoolstore.com and our school receives a small percentage of each sale.
