    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

  • After Care Overview

    Kids sitting on the ground YMCA of South Florida, Private Provider Approved by the School Board 

    The Y’s Youth Development Afterschool Programs focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement. They are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need youth have to feel connected and supports in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other.

    Activities and Services Offered:

    • Project-Based Learning /STEAM
    • Y-Fit using CATCH curriculum
    • Social Skills using various curriculums
    • Literacy Activities
    • Family Involvement Initiatives
    • Academic enrichment through homework help and technology.

    We make every attempt to work alongside and collaborate with the schools.

    After Care: $0-$45/per week based on a sliding scale fee. 

    $10/school year per child;

    $18/school year per family.

    At the YMCA, we take pride in creating an environment where children thrive and genuinely enjoy their time. Our commitment to excellence goes hand in hand with the trust parents place in us. At Camp Y, campers make friends, have fun, get active, and discover who they are and what they can achieve. Kids can expect to experience something new every day. Whether it’s through singing or swimming, through nature hikes or sports, fashion shows, or leadership training, we help them grow as individuals and leaders. Y Campers will even sit with a literacy teacher daily to prevent summer learning losses! Including lunch and weekly activities.
