PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
PRINCIPAL ALFRED L. BROOMFIELD II
Dear Panther Nation,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year. It is an absolute honor and privilege to serve as your new Principal here at Dillard High School 6-12. I’m extremely excited to serve such a great school and community. I look forward to an exciting school year full of excitement, life changing experiences, and a motivation for student engagement. Dillard is known for its rich history, lasting traditions, and a school and community with a sense of enormous pride. I am extremely excited to collaborate with such an involved community of parents and stakeholders to provide our scholars the highest quality of academic educational experiences.
As I enter my 20th year in education, I understand all too well, it has increasingly gotten more and more challenging. I am committed to collaborating with our community and parents, to provide our scholars a real world 21st century learning experience. Here at Dillard High School 6-12, we will continue to provide our scholars rigorous college preparatory strategies that prepare our scholars for college; and experiential learning opportunities to ensure they are prepared for life after high school.
Over the summer, our staff have worked extremely hard preparing their curriculums, and the campus environment for an exciting year of teaching and learning. The success and accomplishments of the school has been something to truly be proud of. Our teachers prepared our scholars to make tremendous gains in all core areas last year, including our end of course exams. As a result of their hard work, we can feel good about contributing to a historic year of district, and school grades. For the first time in forever, our district not only has been rated an “A” district, but there are no reported “D” or “F” graded schools here in Broward County. To continue this momentum, this year, we will place a strong emphasis on academic achievement and high-level expectations.
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of our incoming Panthers; and supporting them in all that they do within the school and community. I challenge each of our Panthers to get involved and be an active member of our school community by supporting athletics, clubs, JROTC, performing arts, as well as engaging in volunteer opportunities. I look forward to being actively engaged and visible within the school and community. Until we meet, let us understand, a panther continues to strive to be the best, and never settles for less; because anything else is unacceptable. Failure is Not an option. We are one nation, panther nation striving for Excellence, No Exceptions, No Excuses!
Sincerely,
Alfred L. Broomfield II, Principal
