Principal's Message

Parents, Guardians, students and community of Plantation.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. Our theme for this year is “Teachers Believe, Scholars Achieve”. We are also on “A” Mission.

I’m excited about the upcoming  school year.  Plantation earned a “C” for the 2018-2019, school year.  We increased our percentage score from the prior school, year and was a couple points away from B.

Plantation Elementary has shown significant improvement in Reading over the past three years.  As a result we are no longer on the state’s lowest 300 list and are not required to have an extended day.  Our new school hours for 2019-2020 is 8:00 am- 2:00pm.

I am celebrating our achievement as our teachers and students worked hard to make this happen.  However, I want our stakeholders to know that we are striving for excellence and aiming to keep moving up.  My goal is to make Plantation Elementary an “A” school.

Plantation is a Sprouting Stem Museum Magnet; our students engage in project-based learning on various themes throughout the year.  These projects culminate in a Museum Night where students can showcase their projects.  I’m looking forward to seeing everyone during this event.

I am honored that you choose to entrust your child to my staff and I, because we know in this time you have a choice on where you can send your child to school.

Communication is very important to us, so feel free to contact your child’s teacher or administration with any concerns.

Looking forward to an awesome school year with you.   Follow us on twitter, facebook and Instagram.
