  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

    Tiger Talk News Team

The Tiger Talk Morning News Team is streamed every morning at 8am at Plantation Elementary. Each classroom on campus has access to receive updates about what is going on in and around Tiger Nation. This can include upcoming school functions, new programs that are being offered, and who our Students of the Week are.

The news program is run entirely by our students. They anchor the show, operate the cameras, control sound mixing, digital mixing and computer graphics through PowerPoint.

Students who participate learn the value of teamwork as they work cohesively to accomplish the task of publishing a consistent and entertaining morning news show. Students also take turns learning and using every piece of equipment in the studio so that they gain a better understanding of all the elements involved in broadcast television.

Plantation Elementary School’s Garden Club provides a great way for students to learn about gardening and gain hands-on experience growing their own food and tasting the fruits (and vegetables!) of their labor. The students learn planning and patience, and most of all, a spirit of adventure. It started off as a project within the project. We are striving to create several gardens. We already have the "Positive Vibe Fruit and Vegetable Garden" We have named our butterfly garden, "Plantation Tiger Butterflies, Birds, and Bees" (PTBBBs). The students meet 1st and 3rd Fridays from 2:15-3:15pm.
