The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:
- an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
- a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
- a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

Program Overview
School Board Operated (SBO) ProgramOur Before Care program runs from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. to provide care for those children whose parents need to be at work before the school opens at 8:15 a.m. Before Care children are greeted by our friendly staff who play games, help with homework not completed at home, and on some days do arts and crafts projects.

Parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application online at www.browardschools.com/bascc.Please note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s wait list.

Program Overview
School Board Operated (SBO) ProgramOur mission is to provide students with an inclusive child care program that is safe and nurturing in a comfortable environment. A culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child; and a program that meets the highest quality of child care standards.
Activities and Services Offered:
Aftercare is available from 2:45 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The students are in groups (of no more than 20) according to their grade level. We run a 1:20 staff ratio. The children are provided with structured activities, changing every 30 minutes. They have snack time each day (provided by the parent), homework time, recess time, and one Special each day. The Specials include technology, art, yoga and S.T.E.M.
