  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • 5000 Role Models

    Sponsor: Mr. Marc Jean Francois

    The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project is a dropout prevention and mentoring program committed to closing the minority male achievement (access) gap.


  • Dance Team

    Sponsor: Ms. Borgela

    Students meet weekly to learn and express themselves through peer collaboration and choreography of various interpretive dance genres.

    Practice Schedule:
    Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

     

  • Falcon Library Assistants

    Sponsor:  Ms. Townsley

    Students volunteer Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 8:25am – 9:05am assisting in the Media Center. The Falcon Library Assistants shelve books, check-in books and assist with the overall running of the library. There are still openings for those that may be interested.

     

  • First Priority

    First Priority Club exists to share the Hope of the Gospel with every student on our campus. All students are welcome. Meetings are Wednesdays from 8:30am-8:a00am in rm 302. Club Sponsor: Ms. Pitter 

  • Future Florida Educators of America [FFEA]

    Future Educators of America is for any student who is interested in meeting with other peers who are interested in a future career in education. In FEA, students brainstorm service ideas, then select, plan, and implement to develop leadership skills. Community service hours will be awarded.

  • Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders (MTL)

    Mentoring Tomorrow's Leaders (MTL). MTL is a peer-to-peer mentoring, student leadership, and educational re-engagement program that aims to support and guide our students towards achieving their academic goals.

  • Model United Nations

    Sponsor: Ms. Lessinger

    Model United Nations has students simulate what it is like to be in the United Nations. Students will become "delegates", as they learn about the structure, rules, goals, and undertakings of the UN. Students will also learn about world cultures. Every year our student delegates participate in the Hygiene Care Drive. We collect donations of bathroom essentials to bring to local shelters in Fort Lauderdale. Sunrise's MUN has collected over 1,000 items in the years we have done this service project.  Every Tuesday from 4-5pm


  • National Junior Honor Society (N.J.H.S.)

    National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a student-led organization on campus for students with a 3.5 GPA to come together to perform community service and exemplify the five pillars of leadership and service which govern NJHS. This is the pinnacle organization on campus.

  • Orange Bowl Leadership Academy

    Sponsor: Ms. Pitter

    Orange Bowl Leadership Academy is a service-based student leadership program. Our ideals are leadership, character, integrity and excellence. Meetings are Wednesdays from 3:45-5:30pm. 6th grade meets in rm. 518 with Mrs. Nixon and 7th grade meets in rm. 307 with Ms. Pitter. Club Sponsor: Ms. Pitter.

  • Robotics

    Sponsor: Mr. Nadorfy

    The Robotics club is a S.T.E.M program were the students code and build robots using VEX. The club gives them the opportunity to collaborate to build and develop long lasting friendships.  The students during there club time learn how to code using basic programing techniques and build robots to preform basic tasks. Robotics Club meets every Wednesday from 3:45 to 4:45pm in Rm. 712

  • Student Government Association (S.G.A.)

    SGA is a student-led group representing the interest of all students in the decision-making process. SGA's elected student representatives and general assembly members work with teachers and administrators to positively impact the school.

  • Yearbook

    Students learn the fundamental skills in research, copy-writing, photography, theme development, and design required to produce an annual publication. Our Yearbook Club is responsible for creating our annual yearbook. They always do a great job!

  • Youth Advisory Board of OKAY Institute

    Meeting Time: Mondays from 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM

    The goal of O.K.A.Y. Institute, Inc. is to foster a commitment to youth that will provide a support system that will allow the youth to be confident, responsible, self-motivated, and academically successful through mentoring.
