Dear James S. Hunt Elementary Families and Community,

It brings me great pleasure to introduce myself as your new proud principal of James S. Hunt Elementary School. I am excited to become a part of this wonderful community and to lead a school that is rich in tradition, talent, and spirit.

I carry with me over 28 years of experience in Broward County Public Schools, including the last 10 years serving as a transformational principal. I have dedicated my career to serving scholars and exposing them to the best educational opportunities possible. I began my career as a substitute teacher and later had the opportunity to develop my craft as a classroom teacher, district trainer, reading coach, assistant principal, and now principal. These opportunities have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of education and leadership at all levels.

During my previous principalship, we successfully transformed our school from one of the lowest-performing schools in Broward County Schools to a proud "B" school. This accomplishment reflects my deep commitment to academic excellence, innovative practices, and the belief that every scholar deserves a high-quality education.

My leadership philosophy is firmly rooted in service, collaboration, and strong relationships. I have always believed that we achieve more when we work together as educators, families, community members, and district partners with a shared mission to put the needs of our scholars first. I am passionate about creating a culture of excellence where teacher leadership is encouraged, professional growth is supported, and high expectations for all become a reality.

I am excited about this new opportunity at James S. Hunt Elementary and am confident that my experience, dedication, and passion will help our school soar to higher heights. Together, we will foster a thriving, nurturing environment where our scholars flourish, our teachers/staff are supported, and our community feels valued and proud.
