Elementary, middle, and high school students working at their group levels in a club
  • Clubs and organizations are a great way to help develop character and the skills that will benefit you in school, your career, and in life. Skills like commitment, leadership, effective communication, and being able to work successfully in a group all come from participating in a club or organization. Joining a club is a great way to make friends, develop leadership skills, and boost your college resumé.

  • 5000 Role Models

    5000 Role Models

The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project was initiated by the Miami-Dade County School Board in March 1993, due to the realization that there is an ongoing crisis in the lives of many young males. The project’s mission is to intervene in the lives of at-risk boys, in order to provide them with alternatives that will lead them away from a life of crime and violence.

Deerfield Park Elementary is the first school in the City of Deerfield Beach to participate in this program. Our induction ceremony took place in October 2021. Since then, we have over 25 boys participating in the program. Our boys are dedicated to making good choices, succeeding in academics, and developing as leaders.

  • Literacy Night

Literacy Night is held by each grade level during the school year. Parents are invited to come to school and learn how they can help their children build literacy skills at home. Parents have the opportunity to rotate through literacy-based centers just as their children do during the school day where they learn about building vocabulary, using technology, and strategies to build reading comprehension.

  • Student Council

The purpose of DPE Student Council is to foster positive character traits within our chosen group of students that they will display and model daily for the rest of our student body. Our program also gives students an opportunity to develop strong leadership skills by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the Student Council serves as the voice of the student body.

  • Career Day

Deerfield Park Elementary School of the Performing and Visual Arts invites members of the community to participate in our annual Career Day program. This program provides our students with insight into the dynamics of their present-day world. Our theme this year is "Students Building a Career Through Education ." Students will be presented with clear and simple explanations of job responsibilities in a variety of career choices by volunteers from our community. Demonstrations and presentations may include special tools of the trade or audio-visual presentations of work sites.
