    The mission of Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) is to provide students enrolled in Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) with:

    • an inclusive child care program in a safe and nurturing environment
    • a culturally enriching program that promotes the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child
    • a program that meets the highest quality of childcare standards

  • Program Overview

    Kids sitting on the ground School Board Operated (SBO) Program

    Our child care program provides a supervised learning and play environment for the students who attend our school. We offer a wide variety of age-appropriate activities and monitored homework time. Our students have opportunities to learn new skills, socialize, and interact with their peers.

    Before and After Care is operated on the IRMS Campus by IRMS staff. Before Care is available beginning at 7am. After Care is available from Dismissal to 6:30pm.

  • Registration Process

    Online Application

    Registration application process is online only and will begin for the 2025-2026 school year on July 28th, 2025. 

    Parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete an application online at browardschools.com/bascc 

    Please note an application does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is based on availability. If the program has reached capacity, your child(ren) will be added to the program’s waitlist.

    Program Cost 

    BASCC Registration Fee $30

    $126/each payment period for Before Care

    After Care Payments will be $162/ payment period + $10 activity fee per period.
    Please do not make a payment until receiving confirmation that your application has been accepted.
