Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Community Members:
I am honored to serve as an Intern Principal at Whiddon-Rogers Education Center, and I welcome you to the Home of the Eagle for the 2024-2025 School Year! I started my career as a teacher in Brooklyn, NY in 1996. I have been an educator for the past 29 years; I spent 16 years as a teacher in the classroom in both New York and Florida. I am excited to embark upon my 13th year as a school-based leader in Broward County.
I am determined on “Making Magic Happen” at Whiddon-Rogers Education Center with our amazing leadership team and our dedicated staff. As a graduate of Queens College (CUNY), Grand Canyon University and Nova Southeastern University, I believe in providing each student with a myriad of opportunities to become college and career ready through the implementation of a rigorous and accelerated curriculum.
My priority is to ensure that all our scholars get the opportunity to learn and excel in a safe learning environment, but your input and collaboration as stakeholders matter. Our leadership team provides each student with a myriad of opportunities to become successful in life, and be a productive and responsible citizen through a high-quality education. I come to work every day with the following quote in mind: “Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes. " Peter Drucker.
