  • Ms. Ashley Cadet-Henry, Assistant Principal, Grade 6

Ms. Cadet-HenryMy name is Ms. Ashley Cadet-Henry, but I am known to many as simply Ms. Henry. I want to personally welcome you and your families to the 2024-2025 school year at Tequesta Trace Middle School! I am so excited to serve the Tequesta Trace community and our 6th grade cougars as they make the transition from elementary to middle school! Sixth grade is an exciting time for any student as they are getting ready to embark on a new journey. I know the transition period well as I have taught and supported 6th grade students for many years. Not only am I excited to welcome our 6th graders, but I am also thrilled to begin my own leadership journey as TTMS’ new Assistant Principal! I am super confident that we will have a successful year together!

My goal is to help all sixth graders access a high-quality education in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment filled with lots of support! Our team is ready to receive incoming students and help them begin this new journey strong. I hope to meet many of you at our 6th Grade Orientation on August 1, 2024, at 9am.

Parents and guardians, I look forward to working alongside you to support your students in having an amazing and memorable school year while meeting their individual needs.

The quickest way to reach me is by email at ashley.cadet@browardschools.com, but I can also be reached at 754-323-4433. Please ensure you register for the FOCUS parent portal at https://www.browardschools.com/focus and view our school website for updates.

I look forward to an amazing school year! Cougars, I’m sure, are going to ROCK (we are Respectful, Organized, Cooperative & Kind) the 24-25 school year!

There is NO PLACE like the TRACE! 😊

Happy 2024 – 2025! I am in awe of the progress our students made during the 2023 – 2024 school year! Our teachers, staff and especially our students worked hard to achieve an A+ rating once again!

I am beginning my 18th year at Tequesta and am still eager to come to work every day! This school is my family – we spend more time together than we do with our own families. I hope you will find that you are welcomed with open arms, smiles, and grace. Our jobs are difficult, and we depend on you to assist us in educating your children. Please be sure that you are getting all of our information – calls, emails and texts! Don’t block us.

    Cougar PRIDE!

I am proud to be a Cougar!

    Because WE ROCK!

We are RESPONSIBLE ORGANIZED COOPERATIVE and KIND

Working with middle schoolers can be challenging at times, but always rewarding! Friends, social activities, and sports are what can help your child become a well-rounded individual, but do not let those get in the way of his/her education. As always, my door is open, my phone is answered, and my email is available to all.

Thank you for your outstanding and constant support of Tequesta Trace Middle School!

  • Mrs. Selima Watson, Assistant Principal, Grade 8

    Watson

It is with great pride that I embark on another year of learning and growing with your students. I am so proud of the work we have done together to accomplish our “A” grade. As your 8th grade Administrator at TTMS, I am so excited to see my student’s growth both physically and cognitively over this past summer.
High expectations of providing a rigorous curriculum in a safe learning environment are our top priority. We here at Tequesta pride ourselves on truly looking at each individual child's performance and tailoring their schedule to ensure we are meeting their academic needs.
I look forward to reconnecting with you all, and I am committed to the success of our students. Let’s have an awesome 2024/25 school year as we keep with our theme of “There's No Place Like The Trace!"
    Respectfully,
    Selima Mignott-Watson, Intern Principal
