It is with great pride and excitement that I have the privilege to serve as the 6th grade Assistant Principal at Seminole Middle School for the 2024/2025 school year. I believe that learning occurs best in an environment that is safe, respectful, supportive, and intellectually challenging for the students. Middle school is where our students build the foundation of their educational journey. I am here to guide them through this process while allowing each student the creative space to realize their ideal path for their future. A few of my responsibilities include Mathematics, Facilities, Athletics, Unified Arts, Guidance, Scheduling, etc……
I look forward to meeting you, learning from you, guiding you, and watching you succeed.

On behalf of our staff, I am happy to welcome you to our school! We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
2) Completes all homework assignments given by teachers
3) Reads daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills
4) Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
5) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject
6) Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college
Please join our school volunteer program. Our students will benefit from your involvement with our school.
If you have any questions about the rules and expectations, please feel free to contact me or to discuss them with your child’s teacher.
Sincerely,
Tameka Smith, Assistant Principal, Grade 7
