NAF AOHT

  • The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism (AOHT) helps students chart career paths in one of the world's largest industries, from hotel and event management to sports and entertainment.  The Academy of Hospitality and Tourism was adopted by the Marriot Hotels, Inc to provide practical environmental experience for front desk reception. 

    Curriculum for the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism contains essential content based on expertise from leaders in the hospitality and tourism industry.  Courses include:

    • Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism
    • Hospitality & Tourism Entrepreneurship
    • Hospitality & Tourism Marketing Management
    • Computer Technology for Hospitality and Tourism*

    Along with their required courses, the Hospitality and Tourism students can take dual enrollment courses while still in high school.  Every student is encouraged to take at least two years of a foreign language.  The curriculum applies project-based learning and integrates literacy instruction through an extended inquiry process that simulates professional knowledge and workplace behavior.
