    If you have Mr. Davis as your fifth grade teacher boy are you lucky! It is true that he is a strict teacher, but that is only because he cares very much for each one of his students. He wants each child in his class to grow academically and socially and he won't rest until you have reached your full potential. Another reason Mr. Davis' students are so successful is because he strongly believes in the partnership between student, parent, and teacher.

    Mr. Davis is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He is one of the few teachers who has been at Country Isles since it began in 1987 and has since been elected Teacher of the Year twice! When he was in fifth grade he knew he wanted to become a teacher. Perhaps that's because his father and older brother were teachers too. 

    Mr. Davis absolutely loves teaching fifth grade at Country Isles. Some of the 5th grade traditions that students have been enjoying for years such as Jamboree, Marine Lab, Washington D.C., and the annual 50's celebration are in part because of his careful planning years ago. A tradition in Mr. Davis' class is the class plays. Mr. Davis' students produce two plays and perform for parents and other classes during the 4th quarter of school. In his class you will also get the unique opportunity to win fabulous prizes in his class auction. Because of his interest in technology, Mr. Davis was one of the first teachers at CIE to teach with a Smartboard. You will love how this interactive device brings learning to life!

    In his spare time, Mr. Davis enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and his step kids Daniel and Taylor. Mr. Davis is a huge baseball fan and his favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals. Some other things you might like to know about Mr. Davis is that he likes to go fishing, play video games, enjoys technology, and admires Albert Einstein. It is also quite possible you will see him in Best Buy because it is one of his favorite stores.
