Pompano Beach High School Welcomes Students from Around the Globe
International Summit Opening Ceremony Takes Place on January 27

Pompano Beach High School Students, Teachers, Administrators and Staff; Broward County School Board Members; Broward County Public Schools Superintendent; Local Elected Officials; and 150 Students and School Representatives from Around the World
WHAT:
Pompano Beach High hosts its seventh International Summit from January 23 through February 1, 2025, with an Opening Ceremony and Parade of Flags celebration.
The Summit will welcome students from Australia, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Yilan City and Zimbabwe. The weeklong event incorporates various activities that focus on developing cultural awareness with language acquisition and technology, increasing knowledge about the United States and the guest students’ countries, and establishing lasting relationships between all the participants.

WHY:
The International Summit is held every two years as part of the school’s award-winning International Affairs with Information Technology magnet program. Through this program, students gain a deeper understanding of global affairs while developing essential skills to successfully compete and thrive in a global economy.
