Principal's Message
Dear Students, Parents, Families and all of the Outstanding Community Members of Bayview Elementary School,
It is certainly fitting to begin with "I am Proud of You" as this year comes to a close. I thoroughly enjoy being your Principal and being a part of our continuous A+ school and community. Bayview Elementary is a gem of a school because of the people inside...students, parents and staff. We have accomplished so much this school year...highlighted by our emphasis of the arts, enrichment opportunities, the facility and nearly 60 percentage points growth between the eight categories of high standards in reading, mathematics and science and learning gains in reading and mathematics. As the Florida Department of Education releases final data, I am confident that we will be recognized as one of the state's leading schools...all to be communicated and celebrated in the coming weeks. Way to go!
The Bayview Team is already gearing up for the Fall with the First Day of school on Monday, August 11th. Please find Save The Dates below.
Grade 5"s Special Day - As we plan for tomorrow's Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony, please plan to sign-in beginning at 7:45 (even though the event may not begin until 8:45). Every guest will need to sign in through our STAR system which may take some time. Therefore, please arrive early and you can either leave and return or wait patiently in our cafeteria for the program to begin. Your patience is appreciated as always.
Catch The Bayview Summer Reading Wave!
Our K-5 Summer Reading Goals are attached (Kindergarten through Grade 5). We have included the New Worlds Reading Initiative Suggested Grade Level Books and Florida's B.E.S.T. English Language Standards with suggested titles and the the benchmarks addressed (by grade level). On the first page of each attachment, please list the books read over the summer and return to your newly assigned teacher(s) for a prize (during the first week of school). Enjoy Reading!
i-Ready - Summer Usage
