SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

WELCOME FROM YOUR PASSIONATE PRINCIPAL

Greetings Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

Happy February!!! We are now into the third quarter of school, and our teachers and students are working extremely hard to keep our students on track for success by engaging in rigorous classroom activities and assessments. As we continue to prepare for the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking Progress Monitoring 3 (FSAT PM3) I encourage you to view the assessment dates posted later in this newsletter.

Currently, we are encouraging all students in K-5 to utilize iReady Reading at home to prepare for the upcoming exams. If you have any questions concerning this software program, please contact the school or attend our next School Advisory Council meeting on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6 P.M. This will also be the night of our annual Black History Extravaganza, which includes food, fun and music.

Did you know we have laptop computers in our front office conference room that are reserved for Parents and Community members to access the internet while on campus? For more information, please call the school or schedule a time to meet with Mrs. Grant, our School Social Worker. She’s here to help!

If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at 754-322-6950

Sincerely,

Shedrick Dukes, Ed.S. Principal
