Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA), commonly referred to as simply Girl Scouts, is a youth organization for girls in the United States and American girls living abroad.^[2] Founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912, it was organized after Low met Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, in 1911.^[3]

The stated mission of the Girl Scouts is to "[build] girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place"^[4] through activities involving camping, community service, and practical skills such as first aid. Members can earn badges by completing certain tasks and mastering skills. More senior members may be eligible for awards, such as the Girl Scout Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards.^[5] Membership is organized according to grade, with activities designed for each level. 

Every Girl Scout has their own curiosity, dreams, and talents—so when they come together to decide which of the thousands of Girl Scout activities to try, the sky’s the limit. Whether visiting an animal shelter, camping, hosting a dance-off, or filming a movie—they’re learning to take risks, trust their gut, and team up with others for good.

We meet bi monthly and have 1 to 3 outside events every month.

Rubik's cube club caters to 3rd-5th grade students who share an interest in solving the iconic cube. Our goal is to make learning enjoyable, and the Rubik's Cube provides the perfect opportunity for our students to make new friends while learning specific skills that foster critical thinking and problem-solving.

FP Game Day is a FREE, Gospel-focused, exciting, and high-energy, after school club for 3^rd-5^th graders in public elementary schools. It is a great after-school option being made available to parents for their children. Students must have parental permission to attend. Game Day meets once a week for one hour and features fun and exciting games as well as lessons which teach students character values from a biblical perspective in a safe and enriching environment. 

Only students who have been registered by their parents can attend Game Day.

The Silver Shores Robotics Club is a group of 4^th & 5^th grade students who work together to build, program and code robots, and then compete against themselves and other elementary VEX IQ Robotics teams. While Mrs. Lopez and Ms. Thompson oversee the team, the students are required to complete most tasks on their own. The VEX IQ competition team is limited to 10 students. Students in the club are also encouraged to work on and submit the Broward Quarterly STEM Challenges, as well as participate in other robotics-related activities once the competition season has ended.

The Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Clubs are a student leadership initiative that aims to cultivate and bolster student leaders to take an active role in increasing school safety and preventing different forms of violence in schools and communities. The program enhances the health, safety, and well-being of our learners by engaging in life skills activities, conflict resolution, peer mediation, and coaching.

Welcome to the Silver Shores Elementary Environmental/Recycling club! This club is for 4th-5th grade students. This is a two-day a week adventure that is all about hands-on learning and educating others about the importance of our environment. Eco club members actively participate with recycling, organic gardening and beautifying the school grounds. Twice a week, club members tend to our butterfly garden, organic fruit/vegetable garden, and the recycling initiative. We apply throughout the year for grants that can help assist us with our goals, have a yearly school-wide recycling challenge, and compete in Going Green challenges across the county. The Silver Shores Media Club is the place to be for inquisitive, curious students who love books and information. Our club encourages and promotes a love of reading, as well as the search for and delivery of accurate information. Media Club members help in the Media Center, produce and deliver the Morning News, assist with our 2 annual Book Fairs, and much more! The club is for 5^th grade students but takes applications from 4^th grade students during the 4^th quarter each year to choose a team to train for the next school year.

Safety Patrol is a club for 4th and 5th grade students that is dedicated to promoting safety at school.  It is part of a national program that fosters student leadership, citizenship, service and responsibility.  Our safety patrols each have an assigned responsibility to complete daily.  Some of these responsibilities include ensuring that our students are safely escorted to their classroom; being in the hall to ensure that the students are acting safely, ensuring that the students are behaving accordingly in the cafeteria during breakfast and encouraging students to observe the safety guidelines for our school at all times.  Our patrols are a role model for all the student body.  By participating in the program, the students will have the opportunity to assume the roles of the following positions:

Hallway Monitors
This includes helping students find and get to their classes as well as making sure that all students observe the guidelines set forth in the Student Code of Conduct.

Door Monitors
Students will be assigned certain sections of the school to monitor doors. They will be in charge of letting students into the school to line up in front of their classrooms. This will be an especially important function, as it will allow for our younger students to be admitted to school in a safe and timely manner.

Bus Drop-Off Monitors
The patrols will work in the bus pick-up and drop-off area to ensure that students are following the Student Code of Conduct. The patrol members will guide students to the proper waiting area before and/or after school.

Cafeteria Duty
Patrol members will be asked to monitor the school’s cafeteria in the morning before school starts. Some of the duties include guiding students to proper trash receptacles for disposal of trash, and observing students' behavior to make sure it is in accord with the Student Code of Conduct.
