I can’t believe how quickly this year has progressed. Fourth quarter is upon us and soon we will be ending this school year. As we enter the fourth quarter, I am pleased to continue to welcome back students to our campus. We continue to offer both online learning opportunities and a more traditional experience to students on our campus and are proud to be able to offer this flexibility to our families. I truly appreciate all our families and their continued support as we continue to navigate uncharted waters.
We are beginning to enter our end of year testing season. These assessments will be able to ensure our students are continuing to improve their educational opportunities and have targeted instruction. End of year assessments are a chance for students to showcase all they learned during the school year, and a way for us to plan instruction for the start of next school year. I am confident we will see growth in our students as we continue to work to ensure a high-quality instructional program for all our learning modes.
I am so proud of our family involvement this year, despite our Virtual World. We had a very successful Virtual Bingo Night and a wonderful hybrid Read-a-thon. Thank you for participating in these fun activities. Please continue to join us in our virtual and drive through endeavors this quarter. Also, look forward to our end of year student activities which will be a wonderful way to celebrate an exciting year.
I am honored to serve the staff and families, bringing my twenty-eight years of educational experience to this amazing school. I am dedicated to working along-side all stakeholders, to ensure that the students of Riverside Elementary, “develop into well-rounded students with the ability to contribute to society and envision a better future.”
I am excited to continue our school-wide theme. This year our theme continues to be Kindness Starts with Me! #RSE is Kind! This theme fits perfectly with our Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness activities students participate in daily. As the saying goes, “in a world where you can be anything, be kind.”
I am passionate about finding the brilliance in every child. I believe that there is always a way to help a child find success and that it is essential that we motivate children to discover their talents and gifts so that they can have the future of their dreams. My door is always virtually open to families and community stakeholders. I look forward to this partnership because I know working together makes all the difference.
There are two great ways to begin working as a team in our school. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and School Advisory Council (SAC) are great ways to share in the decision-making process. Even just becoming a member of our PTO is a wonderful way to support our school community. Please call our office staff to learn about participating in either of these organizations.
Please take the time to follow our school on Twitter @RSERocky and Like "Riverside Elem Coral Springs" on Facebook. Also, receive information for Riverside Elementary right on your phone and through email by ensuring you have updated information as part of your child’s record. We utilize the Parent Link System to provide updates as needed, and also to provide weekly school specific information.
Please know that I am here to serve the Riverside Community and look forward to a successful school year together!
