Dear Grade 8 Students and Parents,

My role as a school counselor is to provide support to students in the areas of personal, social-emotional, and academic development. In order to provide appropriate and comprehensive support, I consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, counseling colleagues, and outside agencies – on an as-needed basis. Identifying students’ personal, social-emotional, and academic needs, as well as providing any necessary interventions, is essential in removing barriers to learning and in helping students develop skills and behaviors critical for academic achievement. The knowledge, attitudes, and skills students acquire during the middle school years build the foundation for future success.
