Eligibility
- Magnet Programs are open to qualified students throughout the state of Florida. All students entering grades K-12 may apply. All students will demonstrate good conduct. At the secondary level, academic/talent entrance criteria have been established for admission to each Magnet Program as a means of promoting student success. Learn more about the academic requirements for middle and high school students.
- The School Board of Broward County is committed to providing settings for education that promote understanding of diversity, tolerance and fair play, so that the positive tenets of a democratic society are reinforced by what students experience in schools. In the Broward County Public Schools, diversity is broadly defined to include students of different genders, of different racial and ethnic backgrounds, of various socioeconomic circumstances, those who speak English as a second language, and those who have exceptional and special needs.
Academic Requirements
Acceptance into the IB-Magnet Program at Boyd H. Anderson High School is based on academic performance. Unless otherwise noted, there is a review process for students who do not meet the academic requirements outlined below.
The minimum requirements for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma Programmes area as follow:
- Unweighted Grade Point Average - 3.0
- FSA score (English, language arts and mathematics): 4.0 greater

Welcome future Cobras! If you live within the Boyd Anderson boundary zone, and would like to be in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, you will need to complete the IB Student Magnet Information Survey. You DO NOT need to complete the DISTRICT Magnet Program application, only this informational survey is necessary. Please email the magnet coordinator to gain access to the inboundary survey.

Welcome students and parents! Boyd H. Anderson High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet Program is a COUNTY-WIDE magnet program, which provides transportation for any student living more than 2 miles from the school, if accepted into the program.
Our IB-Magnet boundary spans North of Griffin Road to south of Commercial Boulevard. If Boyd Anderson High School is NOT your boundary high school (out-of-boundary) you will need to fill out the DISTRICT magnet program application. Remember to complete the DISTRICT application and submit the REPORT CARD and FSA/TEST scores to the email/fax/mail provided on the application. Please click here to apply to the Magnet Program.
