BAHS is proud to be recognized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. We offer the International Baccalaureate Program at both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Grades 9-10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11-12.  IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.

The IB is a highly respected programme of international education and is designed for highly motivated students. It is our faculty’s mission to help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.

At BAHS-IB, students “learn how to learn” through approaches to learning (ATL) skills infused in the IB programmes.  They are able to take responsibility for their own educational progress and are encouraged to try different approaches to learning.

Our IB programmes help IB students:

    • Ask challenging questions
    • Think critically
    • Develop research skills proven to help them in higher education

We encourage IB students to be active in their communities and to take their learning beyond academic study.

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

Boyd H. Anderson High School administration, faculty, and staff are committed to ensuring that our students are academically challenged. We deliver a personalized and global education to prepare our students for an ever-changing world. Click here to view the IB Learner Profile that represents our mission statement in action.
