Hello Families,
 
I am excited to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal! My name is Dr. Sheldon Jordan, and I am honored to be joining the Palm Cove Family. I am stepping into this role mid-year with enthusiasm and a commitment to making this transition smooth for our students, staff, and community. 
 
I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than fifteen years, with fourteen of those years spent with Broward County Schools. Throughout my career, I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten through 5th grade in a variety of roles. I have served as a second, fourth, and fifth-grade classroom teacher and spent many years working as a math coach, where I built the capacity of teachers and fostered student success. Most recently, I was an instructional facilitator at the district level, working with students, teachers, coaches, and administrators in the School Transformation Office. This office was designed to assist priority schools by providing the necessary support, resources, and strategic interventions to guide school improvement efforts. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educator and leader to Palm Cove Elementary School and look forward to working with you as a partner in education.
 
As we embark on this journey together, I cannot wait to embrace this year’s theme: “Level Up: Challenge ‘A’ccepted”. Just as in any game or journey, we all face challenges – but it is how we rise to meet those challenges that defines us. I believe that every challenge gives us a chance to learn, build stronger connections, and celebrate successes, no matter how big or small. Together, we will level up our collective efforts to support our students, foster growth, and ensure that every child continues to thrive. Together, we will reach our goal of becoming an A-rated school!
 
I’m here to support our students, staff, and families as we work together to make this school year the best it can be. I am eager to get to know each of you and your children as we continue to build a positive and supportive school community. You’ll often see me around campus, spending time with our students, helping our teachers, and talking with families like you. Please don’t hesitate to say hello and share any thoughts or ideas you may have!
