The Teacher to Coach Pre-Credentialing Program offers experienced educators an opportunity to engage in professional learning on the role of an Instructional Coach. Using job-embedded coaching strategies, the Teacher to Coach Pre-Credentialing program engages participants with research-based professional development that communicates the function and expectations of an Instructional Coach. Participants become part of a cohort of teacher leaders collaborating with experienced Credentialing Master Coaches to develop coaching skills in a meaningful way to advance practice and increase student achievement.
The cornerstone of the Broward Teacher to Coach Pre-Credentialing Program is a series of professional learning experiences designed to contextualize the role of Instructional Coaches as teacher leaders. The program guides potential Instructional Coaches on implementing standards-based instruction and utilizing data to drive practice and impact student learning. Through a blended learning model, teachers submit artifacts demonstrating competency in coaching processes and strategies for the improvement of instructional pedagogy.
