WHAT IS SEASONS OF LEARNING? 

Seasons of Learning (SoL) is a collaboratively designed, year-long professional development initiative that starts in June of each year after school closes for the summer. As a noted best practice, SOL is designed by District professional learning content experts to address the needs and objectives of continued growth and development for teachers and staff in Broward County Public Schools. District departments engage in coordinated efforts to design professional learning opportunities that align to the District’s Strategic Plan and focuses on teacher aspirations for year-round learning and implementation of acquired knowledge and skills to have a direct correlation to the work teachers do in their classrooms to impact and increase student achievement. SOL also offers learning opportunities to non-instructional staff to advance their knowledge and skills, as well.

WHY SEASONS OF LEARNING? 

Seasons of Learning offers year-long learning opportunities that transform professional learning experiences through ongoing support and scaffolding of the progression of knowledge and skills to heightened understanding and use.  This system of implementation, follow-up, support, coaching, and mentoring is the paradigm of professional development that engages, motivates, provides for self-directed implementation and continuous improvement for all adult learners.

• Fall Seasons of Learning Part II - November 7, 2023
• Winter Seasons of Learning - January 22, 2024
• Spring Seasons of Learning - March 22, 2024

REGISTER FOR SEASONS OF LEARNING 

Log into your LAB Account

Select the Courses tab for dynamic search options and use one of the following:

• Use the Course Search box to key in a particular course/section or key words
• Use the Find Courses by Tags box to select a particular Content Area Tag to refine the search
• Use the Advanced Search option to search by the Section Start Date

When course sections list, click Register next to the section of your choice to enroll.

Attend and continue to Enjoy your new learning!

If you register for a course and decide not to attend, please use LAB to withdraw from the course 2 days prior to the start date.
