Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)
In order to be eligible for the VPK Program, the following must apply:
- The child must be 4-years-old on or before September 1st of the current school year
- The child must be a resident of the State of Florida
- For free, VPK programs funded by Title I, the student must live within the boundary of a Title I school
Children with disabilities, homeless and Foster Care children, who meet the requirements above, are welcomed to apply.
In order to be eligible for the Pre-K Program as a 3-year-old, the following must apply:
- The child must be 3-years-old on or before September 1st of the current school year
- The child must be a resident of Broward County

When applying for the VPK Program, the following documents are required:
- Parents/guardians must obtain a VPK Certificate of Eligibility by submitting an application via the State’s Family Portal. (MUST BE SIGNED AND DATED BEFORE UPLOADING. Lines 18 & 19).
- Proof of child’s age (example: Child's Birth Certificate).
- Proof of Residence (examples include: driver’s license, current utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement, credit card statement).
