Research, Evaluation & Accountability is a department within the Academics Division
Throughout the year, the Assessment team assists schools with all aspects of Broward's assessment program including preparing, administering, and reporting of state-required and district tests.
The Research team releases briefs, reports, and evaluations that provide knowledge and support to strengthen decision making by the Superintendent, the School Board, and district and school-based administrators.
The School Improvement team facilitates the completion, implementation, and monitoring of School Improvement Plans through quarterly, face-to-face, interactive professional learning for School Advisory Council chairpersons and administrators.
The Research, Evaluation & Accountability department reside in two locations; the Kathleen C. Wright (KCW) building and the Twin Lakes facility.

Florida School Grades, 2021-22
This memorandum summarizes the school grade results released today by the Florida Department of Education at the school, district, and state levels. A school’s grade may include up to eleven components. There are four achievement components, four learning gains components, a middle school acceleration component, as well as components for graduation rate and college and career acceleration. The components consists of student performance on statewide assessments in English Language Arts, mathematics, and science in addition to End-of-Course Examinations in Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, Civics, and US History.

Florida Standards Assessment, 2021-22
The Florida Department of Education released the official results for Spring 2021-22 Florida Standards Assessments. These memorandums summarizes the results at the district, state, and school levels for all tested students.

Graduation Rates, 2020-21
On January 6, 2022, the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) released Federal graduation rates for Florida and the 67 Florida school districts. The graduation rate measures the percentage of students who graduate within four years of their first enrollment in ninth grade.

Broward Summer Experience 2021
In order to counteract the deficits on all BCPS students’ learning brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic, BCPS offered the 2021 Summer Experience Program to all traditional BCPS students. The main Summer Experience Program ran for 6 weeks in the summer of 2021, Monday through Thursday, from Monday, June 21st, 2021, through Thursday, July 29th, 2021. Ninety-five schools participated in the 2021 Summer Experience. For students who had been learning from home for the whole of the 2020-21 school year, the 2021 Summer Experience offered students the opportunity to reconnect with their friends and teachers, as the 2021 Summer Experience was conducted in person.
